World In a Room Progress

I realise I haven't updated the blog at all for this project, oops. So now here is a big dump of all my progress so far!

So, I have this flashdrive in the shape of a fish, which I thought would be fun to use as one of my characters and animate it in stopmotion.

For the other character, I wanted to animate it like I did for the last project, but I wanted him to have a slightly different build just to mix things up, so I made him a bit thicker and top-heavy.

And now for the storyboards:

I made a rough animatic to plan out the actions, as I had changed it slightly from the storyboard.

I also did some tests in stopmotion to figure out how I wanted the fish to move.

I took inspiration from youtube stopmotion animator PES for the background and the general "found objects" feeling of the fish's world. I was originally going to paint an underwater background, but I chose to go the simpler route of having a blue towel for the water background.

And finally, here are a few work-in-progress animated sequences
